Vincent TIFFON, Mixed musics: between everlastingness and obsolescence

A cartography of mixed musics, as distinct from instrumental music and electronic, electro acoustic or acousmatic music, evidences an autonomous type, a kind of "close encounter of the third kind". However, behind the apparent homogeneity of the mixed kind, divergent, even opposite aesthetic filiations are hidden. The gap between "musics of the note" and "musics of the sound", opposes supporters of the primacy of graphic writing to those of the new musical paradigm of today: "composing the sound itself". Beyond these divergences, the choice of either real or differed time raises the issue of the obsolescence or everlastingness of the works.
